“ Who designs a place that takes this many keys to get inside?” Vidia cursed drunk as she tried to unlock her front door. She had a nice house in a nice neighborhood and most often she felt at home in her own home. But she couldn’t help but think she had way too many keys on her to figure out which one unlocked her front door. “Damn it!” She said kicking her door and sulking on the pavement. She threw the keys next to her in an act of despair and started to play with her hair as she sat down on the ground..
“Everything’s alright.” She said as she noticed her neighbor. “Just locked myself out-” seriously how many keys did she have?
ellie was on her way home after finishing a surgery that ran later than expected at the zoo. she was minding her business and only had a few streets left to go when she saw vidia struggling with her keys. heading over to check if she was okay, ellie gave a soft smile and crouched down to pick up vidias keys.
“that’s okay. how about i give you a hand to make sure you get home safe”
After a long day of work, all she wanted was a cold glass of milk, maybe she would even go further and ask for a milkshake since it had been a few months since the last time she ordered one of those. Of course, it was just her luck that when she arrived at the dinner, the place had no empty tables. Making her way to someone that was sitting alone, she smiled. “Do you mind if I join you?”
Before she headed home for the day, Ellie stopped by the diner to have a coffee while she finished writing up her notes for the day. She’d somehow managed to nab the final free table in the place, the diner packed to the brim tonight with customers. Deep in thought of writing her notes, Ellie looked up “Katherine. No, not at all. Please, help yourself to a seat” she smiled, moving her jacket and bag out the way to make sure Katherine had space.
she loved nature. fawn fauna was someone that lived a minimal eco-friendly lifestyle. it wasn’t uncommon to find her lounging around outside in the park or in a tree when she wasn’t working. today was no different. fawn lay barefoot in the park, arms stretched out above her, while she basked in the heat of the sunshine, her summer glow in fine progress. this was the life.
a figure blocked the sun above her, and a pout formed on her lips. “who goes there blocking my sunshine? i’m like a big plant, i need my daily photosynthesis”
Ellie was out walking Dug, taking full advantage of the great weather while she had the day off work. Dug happily pottered along, even darting off to chase some squirrels, until he’d spotted someone laying down on the grass. By the time Ellie caught up to the Golden Retriever, Dug was standing over the woman with his tail wagging, completely blocking the sun.
“Sorry Fawn, he decided he wanted to come say hi after the squirrel made a foll of him”
How do you deal with Carl's late nights at the hospital?
i suppose i just do. his job is important and i wouldn’t take that away from him. people rely on him.
it was tough at first but once we found a routine we were able to make time for one another. we meet for lunch and dinner every day. when one or both of us have to work late we always set a finish time unless it’s an emergency.
